Dead Space in TripleHead ..

Post by ViciousXUSMC »

I must try this in 5760x1200 today if I get my setup working, this is one of the games I just could not wait to see in surround.

I feel this game was actually under rated, every time I see somebody mention it they say its not as good as game X, where game X I feel is one of the many over rated titles.

My favorite game of 2008. :) So far, 2009, too.

Dead Space in TripleHead ..

Post by ViciousXUSMC »

Played it for a bit, did 5760x1200 right out of the box and ran great.

I continued my last game where I have the extra suit and got into a 0G area and forgot how to jump :D

Mouse moves a bit fast on game menu but works fine in game.

I really necro'd this thread lol it was over a year since last post but thats how long I have been waiting to play this game in surround.

me too, this is the FIRST game I tested when I got Eyefinity setup.

5760x1200 looks GORGEOUS on the game compared to my old resolution of 4320x900.

First game for me too, I must say I think I found another game that rivals it in surround. Batman: Arkham Asylum is really good in surround. Make sure you add the fov binding to the game .ini like paddy posted in that games thread.

I did not like the demo for that game but the real game is a lot bigger and more free roaming.

Tried TF2 today and dont really like it in surround for some reason, person models get messed up a lot and just feels out of place. Left 4 Dead uses the same engine but plays a lot better I think with the wider FOV.

Anyone know if there was ever a FOV edit or hack made for this game? My searches come up empty.

No FOV change was needed, choose your resolution and the correct FOV is used...played the game start to finish triple wide, and it's a game I will probably replay again on harder difficulty...

For those that get dizzy or nauseous, a FOV hack is definitely needed. Hence, me asking.

Funny you mention getting nauseous with this game. I'm a hard-core FPS/Flight Sim player and NEVER have gotten nauseous playing a game.

For some reason.... this game makes me nauseous. I never thought about it being a FOV issue.... but because of the odd "over the shoulder view" of this game, I wonder if that is a factor....

This is I think the first game that makes me dizzy and ill because of the FOV.

No one has a solution or fix?
