Screw Gloogloo, tweakguides.com is your friend. There's a link there to the Float32 mod and an interesting article:
[i]

Steps...

1) Go to the directory containing your savegame folder and screenshots.

2)There, you will see a file named "user.ltx".

3) open this in notepad NOT wordpad.

4) scroll until you see a line that says "r2_sun_near_border 0.75".

5) Change the "0.75" to a "1"

6) Enjoy!
I can't find my OEM copy of the game, so please give it a go, and if it works take screenies, summarize the problem for Ibrin & the Wiki, and thank jjwalker ! :)

Nice one! I knew I'd seen a fix somewhere. Good find.

Tweak Guides says the game is now patched to v1.0006. Any idea if this was corrected? I have updated the Wiki page.
I finally found the darn disk and can confirm that, despite the simplicity of the fix, patches 1.00005 and 1.00006 do NOT correct this glitch.

On a sidenote, the game has another "edge glitch": if you stick your "shoulder" to a wall, you will see through it.
Hopefully STALKER: Clear Sky will have real native WS support and none of those POV-related glitches...

:idea: Suggestion for the Wiki: (might be a tad long and have some poor phrasing, feel free to adapt this to your liking)
==SG Support==
Native. Patch 1.0003 or later needed for the correct FOV though.

==Known Issues==
The introduction of proper widescreen support in patch 1.0003 also revealed a graphical glitch: shadow clipping/flickering at the edges of the display when using Full Dynamic Lighting.
As of patch 1.00006, this glitch is still present, but it can be easily fixed doing the following: (fix credits go to Float32 mod maker jjwalker)

1) Search for file user.lbx or locate your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. savegame folder (default location is the Shared Documents folder, i.e C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsSTALKER-SHOC)

2) Edit user.ltx using Notepad.

3) Find the line r2_sun_near_border 0.75

4) Replace the value by 1, thus reading r2_sun_near_border 1

5) Save the file.

Fantastic find!

Changing the value to "1" from .75" made a noticeable difference... but it is still is glitchy at times along the edges.

As an aside, further down the page at the Float32 site mentioned above, there is a sample .ini file which I cut and pasted into mine.

It helped even further and that, as well as the Float32 mod, make the game look fantastic.

Here's hoping that Clear Sky is as TH2Go friendly as Arma is....

Thanks for the help on this one all. :D

user.ltx, not lbx.
