FlatOut (a.k.a. FO or FO1) is a racing video game developed by Finnish Bugbear Entertainment and published by Empire Interactive and Vivendi Universal Games in 2004 and 2005. Gameplay in Flatout places emphasis on demolition derby-style races, and features a sophisticated physics engine. 16 different cars are included, each with 5 different skins for them. The game is most known for car drivers flying through the windshield, either from smashing into non-movable scenery at high speed, or deliberate ejection in the Grand Slam Stadium.

At one point I got it working on a widescreen custom resolution, but I don't remember how, and I think it was stretched though.

I can select my native res 19x10 in the 'Flatout Setup' program. Whether its true wide screen giving you extra view screen on each side I'm not sure, never checked.

Ditto. I remember playing widescreen in the demo but didn't look into if it was true widescreen or not.

FlatOut does support my resolution in the game (1920x1080) but it just appears to stretch things out, and not give you any additional viewing. It appears to just pull the available video modes from your display settings, as any game these days really SHOULD do.

It still looks really good though.

Same problem, 1680x1050 but appears to strech things.

This title supports all possible resolutions including widescreen ones ... :)

I do beleve that the view is stretched ... if anyone knows otherwise please let us know.

Thanks to Tiger Dave for this solution.
