Clive Barker's Undying is a horror-themed FPS from Dreamworks and EA Games. The game takes place in an immense haunted estate on the coasts of Ireland in the early 20's. You play as Patrick Galloway, a man with limited supernatural powers who served in WWI, and must investigate a curse that has, one by one, caused every member of the aristocratic family to be driven to madness, and reanimated as a demonic monster upon their untimely death. Groundbreaking horror author Clive Barker was a consultant in the game's plot and background story, and also provided the voice for one of the antagonists.
1080p confirmed to work. However, that log book cut off is still in place and is there anything to be done to show it? It kills a bit of every log you pick up and since this an atmospheric game with a strong emphasis on the story one shouldn't skip them.
If you run the game on Windows 7 and do not use compatibility mode, your System.ini and User.ini (as well as save games) do not go in the normal game directory. I found them in C:UsersAppDataLocalVirtualStoreProgram Files(x86)EA GamesClive Barker's Undying
Drove me nuts for a while, but you can also change settings via the console (TAB key) with the setres and fov commands, like all Unreal 1 games.
Undying keeps crashing on me immediately after the intro cutscene ends. I see about one frame of the gameplay, then I get the error message shown here: imgur.com/a/PIq8R. I run the game on Win 10, my PC is an i7 6700k, gtx 980Ti, 16 gb ddr4, and it's installed on a samsung 950 pro ssd. Since I have a 21:9 3440/1440 monitor, I installed the widescreen fix and dgvoodoo2 wrapper and changed the two ini files as instructed.
I tried to run the game as an administrator as well as in several compatibility modes (win 98, win xp SP2, win 7), but no change.
I have the both the GOG and retail version of this game. Is it possible that some hex edited version of the EXE can be made by some one please so that we can enjoy this truly phenomenal game at 21:9 ration of 3440 x 1440p ? Thanking you in advance.
I used the "dgvoodoo2" solution, but it doesn't work. The game crashes very often. I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean. This only happens in 2560x1080 resolution. When I change the resolution to 1920x1080, it works perfectly. Any advice?
Is there any other way to get 21:9 resolutions to work? As an example, Wheel of Time (which uses the same engine i believe) works perfectly with the dgvoodoo wrapper.
It's strongly recommended to keep default FOV setting in User.ini DesiredFOV=90 DefaultFOV=90 because FOV will be automatically recalculated using this values.

This would interest me as well. HUD is too big, a big HUD feels bad and trashy at high resolutions.
Has someone had luck with forcing DSR / VSR with this game? Video cannot initialized beyond my native resolution (1920x1200). Not even forcing the resolution (and activating DPI scaling by application in the exe compatibility properties) in dgVoodoo 2 helped.
