Solution needed for an old game ?

hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has come across a widescreen fix for JN6 (Jack Nicklaus 6 GBC) ... yea I know a very old game but still one of the best golf games around.

The standard ingame res options are the usual 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024.
My laptop is 1280x800 and the game will not allow 1280x1024 to be used, it reverts back to 1024x768 and does some streching instead ... obviously this really spoils the fun.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
