It seems this fix is not compatible with retail 2CD version, patched to 1.02b46. Error message says "PATCH.dll is missing". As far as i understand that "patch" is GOG's workaround for infamous "too long GL extension list reported by the driver" bug of Quake engines.

This will work if you get "PATCH.dll is missing" - this happens when you try using GOG version based wide screen fixes with the original retail version.

Steps (after a fresh install):

1 Install patches in the following order:
Anachronox patch build 44
Anachronox patch build 45
Anachronox patch build 46

2 1080p resolution

2.1 Make a backup of anox.exe and ref_gl.dll files in your Anachronox
install folder (just select them and press ctrl+c and then ctrl+v)

2.2 Simply copy contents of anachronox-retail-1080p folder in your game
folder overwriting the old files

3 Running the game

3.1 You need to select 1600x1200 resolution in GCT Setup in order to play
in 1920x1080

4 Troubleshooting

4.1 If GCT Setup bitches about missing files unpack (use WinRAR) contents of
VisualBasic6-KB896559-v1-ENU directly into the game folder.
Those are Visual Basic 6 redistributable files GCT Setup needs to work.

4.2 NVIDIA users. If you get some openGL errors when starting the game by
clicking 'anox.exe' rename it to 'quake2.exe' - should run now.
Or you can use Nvidia Inspector from Guru3d - go to Anachronox profile,
Common and change Extension Limit to ON

4.3 "Lucko" Coldwolf
This quest breaks on modern systems due to cpu speeds being too high for
the scripted sequence to execute properly.
Can be fixed by 'ThrottleStop' utility. Set 'Clock Modulation' to
something like 25% and click 'Turn On', then start the game. Worked like
a charm on my Intel Xeon 3.06 GHz cpu.

4.4 Yellow fog in Sendormitory (AMD gpu)
This is a bug in the game's code compunded by crappy drivers from AMD.
Luckily, fog can be disabled. Press Alt+Shift+F10 while playing to
enable debug mode. Now press ~ (tilde) to open console window and type
the following to turn the fog off:

gl_fog 0

Pres Enter to execute.
Debug mode can also be enabled in GCT Setup.

4.5 Hivebay space shooter
Hit detection/aiming does not work in widescreen mode. Simply lower
resolution to 640x480 (4:3) for this mission.

4.5 Duplicate bouge skills
Due to some bugs you can end up with the same battle skill
occupying two slots (happened with Rho and Democratus)
To fix it open the console and type:

invoke 1:86

This will enable cheat menu - delete and re-add the skill causing
trouble.

4.6 Moon Burger prizes
This bug prevents you from entering this quest more than once, which
might result in not getting some important items. As a workaround do
this quest (means: leave PAL for 7-8 hours in) once after Limbus or use
the cheat mode to add the items (legit, since the game is buggy).
The important item here is 'Shadow Bracers' - defeating Anox Doorlord
and the final boss batlle can be quite frustrating without it.

4.6 Final Boss Battle glitch
The game can freeze during the final battle. Not sure what's causing
this. I suspect CPU speed issues. Use CPU throttling as in 4.3 "Lucko"
Coldwolf quest. Worked for me.
