Is it possible to activate HDR in Windowed (Borderless), the game will not allow it -- or is this not a function with HDR on Windows in general?

Those of you having problems with letterboxing, try this temporary work around:

Run FC4, minimize, then click remove.

Thanks, but for me it just stretches the screen vertically to compensate for the black bars.

16:10 setups get letter boxed. Now, if only I could figure out how to remove the letter boxing. Frankly I'm getting pretty pissed off at Ubisoft's (Kiev?) lack of 16:10 support. It has been like this for many years, at least since Assassin's Creed III, that I can remember. All of their titles excep...

There are, but as I said even if you choose 16:10 in the options screen, it stills stays at 1080 with 16:9.

I have a Dell 2913WM 21:9 (2560x1080) but the game run not in 21:9 acpect ratio  .The game runs only in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Have anyone a solution for this problem? Anyone been able to sort this out?

Nvidia surround here: I'm able to select the surround resolution in the game options, but it doesn't scale the game.

Also, the FOV is tight, and there are no AA options..

I uploaded a new version of Widescreen Fixer that adds HUD centering for initial game release v1.00. Helifax also sent me some preliminary FoV fix with it but I didn't have a lot of time to look at that and implement it yet. I'll work with him more on it tomorrow and I'll release a new plugin then....

Hehe:)) Fix is done;)) Still need some tweaks here and there but fixed: - Centered HUD the same as in the demo. Some markers might not be properly alligned - Fixed the following FOVs: Normal, Running, Cover. I like the closeup for AIM though so I will not modify this - Fix still needs to be enabled...

Yes, it's unfortunate isn't it? It's quite a serious offender in terms of FOV, etc. Everything is clearly in "See Everything From Your Couch" mode. The funny thing is, even if you -wanted- to sit back a ways on your PC to play, you would need wireless KB/M combo to do so, because there is no gamepad...

Well, retail is out on the east coast, hopefully it's just a tad different from demo version, tech-wise.

I take it the WSF uses the specific demo.exe ?

No FOV adjustment from what I can tell, but it's doable in surround/eyefinity. Game looks and plays well, but my only complaint would have to be the post-processing and bloom. My word, I have never seen such an overuse of bloom in all my years of gaming. Literally hurts my eyes in some sequences.

Just tried the latest Nvidia 270 beta drivers and Surround works now. I can't see the menus when I hit escape in game though :( Still don't know how to get 120Hz yet either. Been a while, but has anyone found a workaround for this? Surround does indeed work on recent drivers, but the menus are unus...

Installing right now, good to see there is native Surround support. I'm only worried about the FOV, because EA doesn't have a solid track-record for FOV in their games lately. When I get it installed, I'll look around in the game directories for possible changes. -- What about in-game Graphics Optio...

The blurring anomaly is a result of the SLI not meshing well with the motion blur. You can set a launch option '-noblur', and you'll get little in the way of anomalies... will probably still get flickering though. Motion Blur is actually well done here.. it's not a cheap rendering gimmick, so it's a...

I hope a good profile comes out soon, as I get terrible performance in Surround SLI. There is a cheap-fix if you try using the SLI profile for FEAR 2, but it creates unplayable artifacts, i.e. blurring and freezing on screen. With the FEAR 2 profile, I can get 30-40fps with everything maxed and AA a...

I'm guessing it's around 60° - 80°, give or take 5°. The camera is dynamic, almost cinematic in the way it swooshes around, and is pulled back a bit. So, FOV isn't a major problem anyway, in my opinion. If it was first-person, or over-the-shoulder Gears of War style, then it would be maximum bollock...

When I use the fix, I usually just get a gray screen, or the FOV is applied on center screen. If I activate it with the Display Options open, it will show 5760x1080, but will discard the change and revert to 1024x768 if I try to apply it. Can't get it to work, must have missed something. Edit: Manag...
