I do! Bats come from the pond to eat mosquitos, and I've seen multiple gartner snakes in the yard. =(
One is a baby snake. Either way I've started thinking about building a sunroom in the viewing area, since I'm in Ohio it's colder more often than not at night. Problem is the quotes I'm getting are ...

21ft x 9ft Carl's place screen
Yes, that reads feet!
Put this up in my backyard:
⋅ Screen - Carl's place: 21ft wide x 9ft tall, 2.4 aspect ratio.
⋅ Projector - Epson Pro Large Venue Projector - G7500U (refurb from Epson.com) - 4k enhanced, from 30ft away.

Oculus Rift - Virtual Reality
I'm giving a presentation on Virtual Reality and how to program for it using Unity tomorrow.
While programming for it, I realized, why are we so much into 21:9, triple monitor, triple projector setups to increase FOV?
I do appreciate my 21:9 monitor, it's beautiful. But for gaming, specifically ...

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?
Brad,
Makes sense, but a few questions:
⋅ When you say near the radius, what is a typical radius for a triple projector FOV (10-15ft wide)?
⋅ Do you typically do 120 or 180 degree FOV with simulation setups?
⋅ If the radius of the screen is, say, 3ft, does that ...

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?
That's OK, I'll research both projectors.
Yeah, please don't say that room is sick because I'm about to change it into a simulation room with BHawthorne - lol. I don't know how it'll turn out, we'll see.
The problem is the stage, I can't really demolish that because it has 1000lbs of sand in it ...

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?
Good, I'll probably go with the BenQs just so we don't run into any problem with mounting them, but I read in the reviews the 1080ST doesn't have lens shift. Typically the short throws have no lens shift, or only up/down or left/right, if I recall.

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?
OK, excellent. Well this happened last year too (lol), I owe a fairly sizable tax return. I have to fix my withholdings.
Anyway it shouldn't put a huge hamper on the plan.

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?
Thanks Brad - I'll check that post out. Can I fly you out to Ohio to help me out with the install once I have the PC setup? I'll need to decide on which projectors also which you can help with beforehand.

Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?
I have all the parts for my simulation projector's PC. I purchased two GTX970s to execute in SLI. I'm in the process of building the PC now, but of course the tougher part now is the projectors to use and screen build/edge blending software.

Maybe for USA then, Optoam HD86ST not available here.
I will not mount projector behind screen, do you only do this so you don't have audio problem with PJ being too loud?

Suggest a 1080p projector for 3840x1080 setup
Hi,
I want to get into widescreen gaming. Instead of three Optoma GT750s (no lag, 720p DLP) - can you suggest two 1080p projectors for me.
My requirements:
No lag
1080p higher vertical resolution
MUST HAVE SOME VERTICAL LENS SHIFT?

Bigger
OK, I was thinking 15ft WIDE (with curve integrated). In your example it is only 8ft wide. That MAY be a cost effective solution for most, but I have a feeling most have at least 10ft wide to work with (and some depth).
So I think it might need 3 projectors. Can you mock up 3 projectors and ...

width
you're probably asking width, and not diagonal?
if diagonal, what aspect ratio are we dealing with?
I'm in a 14x14 room and want to use the diagonal of the room for the screen. So I think 15ft wide curved screen would work.

Damn, really? I think I need to go SLI then! But I read SLI can sometimes play games with eyefinity in certain games?
