ATI Vidcard + Nvidia Physx Card?
Hey I found mostly inconsistend infos in the web about this so maybe you guys know.
I recently was given an ASUS ENGTX 275 for free and I d like to use it for calculating the Physx stuff.
Since I use 3*24" Monitors i have to stick to my ATI 6970 but in some games which heavily use physx ...

the quite simple thing is that afaik the common cards do just have two timing clocks for the outputs. (wich is a pretty crappy thing since it could work if the manufacturer would have wanted it)
since your monitor needs the third clock it wont ever work without a ...

well actually u will have ur point since u use it already, but imho as i said there are hard facts about this which dont match with ur telling.
and since ive played everything in max and 5760*1080 on my single gpu so far id doubt that what u say is that true.

U can see in various tests that the XFIRE performance boost is quite low (about 50%) it does NOT double the performance.
further its not true taht a single gpu cant do the job - im running a 6970 at 5760 1080 with full details with no prob in all ...

ok, I now borrowed an active
ok,
I now borrowed an active miniDP DUAL link adapter with usb power supply (that 100€ thingy) form my office and it was plug n play...
I also bought another active single link adapter (30€) to VGA - jsut to test that one too...
Ill post the result here since noone else seems to know more ...

Its quite depressing how much work such a damn triple monitor setup makes.. we fly to the moon... but with only two monitors as it seems...
I have trouble as well to get the three monitors runnin.
But i think my prob might be a bit diffrent from most experiences.
