You know what happens 5 minutes after you post a question? You find the answer yourself.

Flawless Widescreen had stored the old resolution, so all I had to do was was force it to automatically detect and everything lined up.

Have you tried Flawless Widescreen?

It has worked for me sometimes when WSF doesn't.

I had ME1 working perfectly using Flawless widescreen and pretty well using Widescreenfixer with my old 1680x1050 x 3 eyefinity setup. I upgraded to a new 1920x1080 x 3 setup, and now the hud elements are not centered. All the FOV corrections and everything else works perfectly, but it's all shifted ...

Are you forcing the pointer to be in software mode (to deal with pointer corruption eyefinity issues)?

I get weird mouse effects when I forget to set it back to hardware mode before starting a game.

Well of course, when I fire up the game tonight, ready to take screen shots, nothing odd happens. The correct aspect ratio settings worked.

Other than needing to use Steam for the retail version, looks like nothing anomalous.

Yes. They used to be called Method 1 and Method 2. I tried renaming them to Steam and Retail since the methods were for particular versions. I wasn't 100% sure when I named them. That's why I told you to try the Steam one anyway. ;)

It works fine with version 1.66.0 of the widescreenfixer, thats the one i use to play COD MW on surround, im running the retail version too.

That is really very odd.

The Steam version should say unrecognized, but you can still enable the fix to test it out. It would show a 0 in-game under the aspect-ratio if it's not going to work.

Unfortunately I have the Steam version of the game so I can't really have you send me the .exe ...

Sorry, I wasn't thinking when I used "FOV". That's not the problem. Some pics will clear up what I mean, but first a little more background.

Yes, I am using the original exe. Nothing messed with there, DVD is in the drive for checks as normal. It is the retail version, not steam. I tried ...
