Re: Extended desktop i W7, restore from sleep

Well, this is nothing short of interesting...

The configuration that caused me grief was HDMI+DVI+DVI. Then I tried DVI+DVI+VGA and the problem went away!

Just for the sake of curiosity, I also tried HDMI+DVI+VGA, but didn't quite work. Most windows were moved to the primary display (HDMI) after ...

Re: Extended desktop i W7, restore from sleep

Yes, all the monitors are always on. I'm not doing anything different from when I used the AMD card. Apart from one thing... One of the monitors were connected with a VGA->DP adapter while the others were connected with DVI. Now I use HDMI instead of the adapter. I'm going to try this adapter again ...

Re: Extended desktop i W7, restore from sleep

Yes, but with AMD you can actually load a saved profile that will set configure the desktop for you. I found that with Nvidia, I can deactivate Surround with a hotkey and then use the Windows-function (Win + P) to set it to Extended again.

Still, I would love it if someone with Windows 7, a card ...

Extended desktop i W7, restore from sleep

I just bought a GTX 780 ti and I'm starting to regret it. I don't play games every day, so I usually have my monitors configured in Extended desktop. My problem is that every time I wake my computer from sleep, every window and icon will have moved to the primary screen. Having to move them back ...

Re: Thinnest bezel?

I overlap them to minimize the damage. But still, yeah, it stinks. I had an LG monitor before as well, and it had 13mm bezels. That would have been so sweet now...

Re: Thinnest bezel?

There's this as well: http://www.crunchgear.com/2010/11/03/lgs-new-lcd-display-has-worlds-thinnest-bezel/
Coincidentally I have the LG displays with the world thickest bezels. Well, maybe not quite that bad, but they're 25mm. I'd try to strip them, but the risk is too big. If I break one of the ...

Re: Long Awaited F1 2010 PC Game Patch - Must Be A Joke?

4. Optimisations – We have made better use of multi-core processors in general, which will lead to better framerates on higher end machines.
I seriously doubt this, i have an 8 core processor and this game is running far slower than it was before the update.
Same here, but I believe the ...

Re: F1 2010

I've been tweaking the FOV and camera position myself and I'm happy with the way I currently have it. I sit a bit high up in the car, but any lower and I can't look to the sides. Link to a video below. Unfortunately I didn't use the correct exposure so the track is very bright.

Re: F1 2010

This is depressing. With 5760x1080, the game looks fine with a centered HUD. But with bezel compensation the HUD is messed up.

Edit: Fixed it by altering the bezel compensation. I also got the FOV changed, so now it looks so much better.

NFS Shift: Eyefinity + CrossFireX = poor performance

Of course I know that all games will take a performance hit when you tripple the resolution, but hear me out...

I'm using 2 x 5870 and they work just fine. In NFS Shift with 5760x1080 and no AA, I get about about 35-40 fps. Crossfire works but at the most both cards are only utilized about 75 ...

Re: Lots of trouble with Eyefinity

If you haven’t already heard the buzz, there’s a DP-DVI single link adapter entering the market in a few weeks time. Maybe it’s just what you need.

Re: MAFIA II - Full Game Eyefinity

Ah, I had that too. Even one of the intro clips when I started the game was upside down. I never gave it much thought and completed the game with a single screen. I’m going to have to get rid of these problems if I’m to buy the expansion pack.

Re: MAFIA II - Full Game Eyefinity

Yeah, I haven’t actually seen anyone else with this problem. I saw someone mentioning that one should select 3x1920x1080 as opposed to 5760x1080 (or 6###x1080 with bezel compensation). I can’t remember seeing this option, but I’ll look for it this weekend if I get my replacement monitor after I had ...

Re: Lots of trouble with Eyefinity

2 active Mac Mini-DP-DVI adaptors.

Do your monitors have VGA input? If so, then you might want to consider replacing your DP-DVI adapters with DP-VGA. They're not very expensive, so it won't set you back much.

Re: Displayport-to-VGA Adapter = Successful 3 Monitor Eyefinity

If you're using the one you linked to a couple of posts up, then it's active. On the other hand, for all I know it might be fully possible to run 3 monitor Eyefinity with a passive DP-VGA adapter.

Re: Eyefinity not working

5760x1080 is what I used. I didn't notice 3x1920x1080, but I will check it out when I get my monitor back. I suppose I won't be getting any bezel compensation with this resolution...

Re: Thin bezel monitors

My old monitor had 13 mm bezels but when I went Eyefinity, I prioritized the ability of rotation and also affordability. I ended up with 25 mm bezels on my three new LGs. I'm kinda bummed out by this, but it's still awesome.

Re: Eyefinity not working

Strange that my HUD looks like it does. I can only assume that the BizLink Dual-link DP-DVI adapter is to blame. I've got a VGA adapter now, but I had to RMA one of my screens so I have to wait until I get another one to see if I get a centered HUD with the new adapter.

Re: Eyefinity not working

Slinky, when you changed the resolution and got Eyefinity working in Mafia 2, did you automatically get a centred HUD? In other words, is your minimap in your center screen?
