too bad saving the profile and selecting it doesnt work as it should.

To get the ability to rotate, I seem to have to unplug the monitor going into displayport. then by some sort of magic combo, I can rebuild the eyefinity desktop to portrait mode.

Problem is once I go back to landscape, I have to repeat this nonsense over and over.

maybe i got the posts confused.

i had (3) 21" 16:9 Dell 2210s.
i went to (3) 24" 16:10 Del 2407s.

I like the 2407s much better. Much higher quality monitor. Also the 16:9 x 3 in landscape mode is too skinny in my opinion .

the other thing to consider when using different monitors is the feeling of 'symmetry' on your desktop.

i ran a mismatched config briefly and it threw me off because one of them was slightly shorter than the others even though same purported size. the resolution of course was the same ...

the sapphire adapter works for the 5870.

the accel min-dp -> dvi works for the 6970.

i have them both.

Any of you guys getting this title to work. It keeps crashing to desktop for me. Works outside of eyefinity of course.

I have tried deleting the game.prefs and still no go. I had this working awhile back and am not sure what has happened.

i have both a 5870 and 6970 and have used them both in eyefinity.

honestly, i am scratching my head abit at the lack of performance increase. i think the one thing you can do successfully is enable 2xAA with the 2gb 6970.

Battlefield BC2 looks PHENOMENAL in portrait eyefinity with 2AA ...

Well... my 6970 came today. i got it unboxed and moved my 5870 over to another machine. Both machines are setup for eyefinity. The 6970 uses 1920x1200 x 3 ...

i just ordered a card with the sole purpose of better eyefinity. i should have it tomorrow.
i held off on crossfire for now till i see more reviews.

i believe the reason crossfire does not work well with infinity is because the crossfire bridge was not meant to move more than 2560x1600 pixels across it. you can google this.

this is also the reason the 5970 card actually handles it better as there is no bridge or the bridge is internal ...

i bought (3) P2210H refurbs from the outlet site.

they seem fine to me. however, i use it only as an eyefinity gaming machine.

but nothing wrong with colors, etc. i also have a bunch of high quality/high price monitors including the dell3007 on my other rig so i have seen both.

crap... you are right. my head is not screwed on right.

guess i will wait a bit longer before getting that second 5870.

the more i think about it, you must only be referring to quad-fire (2x5970).

Because, I just came across some more benchmarks which shows huge gains going from 5870 to 5870x2.

i got 2 of my 2210H refurbs today. They look fine to me. I am comparing them both a Dell 30" and Dell 24 higher-end panels.

Yeah, they are not as good, but if you are just going to game or watch movies on them, they seem fine to me. I did a little test with 2 monitors in eyefinity even though ...

here is the model i got with display port. i got 3 so they are identical and don't have EDID issues.

yes, they are the not-as-nice ...

so i have one dell monitor that is 1920x1200.

i just ordered 2 from the dell store that were 1920x1080. My current dell can be set to that resolution as well. Will this setup work, or should I just get another identical one.
