I might be on the wrong path but I'm trying to have 3 monitors running off my alienware m15x with a DisplayPort & VGA Port + the laptop screen. The m15x comes with an Nvidia GTX 260m. Just wondering if the build in card can handle this or do I need to purchase a new Alienware m18x laptop ...

Try to create a custom resolution of 1920x1080, 50 Hz in Nvidia Control Panel: Display > Change resolution > Customize... > Create Custom Resolution.

it's impossible to get 50 Hz in Nvida...

I give up and will ring Matrox instead.

I had a DisplayPort MacBook Pro working with a DisplayPort TripleHead2Go working with 2 screens at 1920 x 1200 when running BootCamp quite successfully but could never get it to work with the DVi model even with Apple's Mini DisplayPort -> DVI convertor. Check the reviews on Apple's & Amazon Website ...

I've just noticed on the Matrox Website that it now supports 5760 x 1080 resolution at 50hz. Since I owned 2 x LG Flatron E2340, I was wondering if anyone can give me hints on how to find out if it works at 50 hz before I get a third one...

First of all, please check your spelling ! Your post is really hard to read. :oops:
Secondly TH2G can only drive 3x 1680x1050 max... and with a Radeon, maybe even only 3840x1024.

Did you run Powerdesk GXM Wizard to setup the display ?

Guess it depends how much and where you got the triplehead2go. I got a few from eBay at the same price as I would pay for a dualhead2go but I agree with you on using the 2 for the highest output. I'm using the displayport on my laptop and even though it's compatible with eyefinity, I would ...

According to Matrox, you do need a DP output on your graphics card, period. You can use adapters to connect non-DP monitors to TH2G, but not to connect the graphics card to TH2G.

You might want to look at other solutions ...

Installed 2.07 when I reinstalled comp. Minor interface adjustments and less overall "steps" to go through, but it still can't set 5040x1050 on modern Nvidia drivers. Still need Elior77s fix for that.

Works well on the DisplayPort Edition and the latest Nvidia beta driver.

You would end up with 1 5040x1050 Desktop and a 1680x1050 Desktop Extended. You could play games, but only in windowed mode.

I guess another suggestion could be to use a USB solution such as DisplayLink. They claim to be able to handle up to 6 x USB DVI Connection at 1920 x 1200 or 2048x1152 ...

because there isn't enough bandwidth on the Duel Link DVI port to support them.

I've just ordered a TripleHead2Go DisplayPort Edition and was wondering if that restriction still holds true...
