Newbie Q: Is anyone using TH2Go with 3 x 1920 x 1080

Post by icemanmelb »

Guys,
I've just noticed on the Matrox Website that it now supports 5760 x 1080 resolution at 50hz. Since I owned 2 x LG Flatron E2340, I was wondering if anyone can give me hints on how to find out if it works at 50 hz before I get a third one...

I have the TripleHead2Go DisplayPort running of an Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M

According to the Matrox Website

http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/
Supports a maximum resolution of 5760x1080 (3x 1920x1080)1, 2 across three monitors; displays attached to TripleHead2Go must run at the same resolution

Thanks

Try to create a custom resolution of 1920x1080, 50 Hz in Nvidia Control Panel: Display > Change resolution > Customize... > Create Custom Resolution.

it's impossible to get 50 Hz in Nvida...

I give up and will ring Matrox instead.

thanks

FYI my own monitor (Acer GD245hq) passes the test no problem, so this should be a valid method. I hope Matrox can help you out with some custom refresh rate trick or sth.

I'm running 5760x1080 with 3 x 24" Samsung SyncMaster B2440 screens, Nvidia GTX480 with latest driver and TH2GO Digital Edition with latest firmware. I created a custom 5760x1080 resolution in the Nvidia Control Panel using 57hz before installing the Matrox PowerDesk software. I have tested this with XP32, XP64 and Win7 Ultimate 32.

You should connect one of your monitors to one of the ports on the card (by passing the TH2Go).
Then try doing the custom resolution on that monitor.

I had no problem with my Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 getting 5760x1080@50Hz. I didnt have to do anything besides select the resolution in the powerdesk software. although i purchased my monitors because they were advertized as allowing a 50Hz refresh rate. if you can get a single monitor working at 1080P@50Hz three should run fine.

Hello,

I also want to buy 3 monitors for 3x 1920x1080 with TH2GO, can we make a list of the monitors that work with this resolution @50hz?

I have a 4870X2.

Thanks
