Hey guys,

Right now i currently have a 5850 that run 3x 24" monitors. And i want to run another 3 monitors.

Im trying to decide if I should get a 5870 and have both in my system or Get a 5870 6 EF edition.

Wich do you think is the better route?

WoW 160 views and nothing

Yeah i disabled all power saving features. Its weird that its only the bottom DVI port that does this... Really weird

Ok I would start by isolating the issue, switch your DVI monitors, see if the issue follows the port or the display. Also check if power management in Windows is not turning off the display after so long.

I have the xfx 5850. Im running the latest drivers from ati. I have a weird problem and no its not related to the DP port (I fixed that one with the bios flash)

What happens is my third monitor hooked up via dvi goes to sleep. I play wow so when i start up the game the login ...

Anyone Know of Canadian retailers selling them or is it just Dell and Apple

I flashed my 5850 2 days ago and have played for about 8 hours of wow on it. The first day the dp ->vga didnt blink but the monitor attached to the lower dvi port seems to goto sleep and quick power cycle on the monitor brings it up.

The 2nd day of the dp -> vga did blink 4 ...

Just Flashed my 5850 with the new bios..... Voila blinking gone. Shame on you ati!!! If i put as much effort into testing my code as you did testing this product...

im going to be trying the dp -> vga adapter from monoprice will post results when i get home... gawd this is killing me

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Have you updated the drivers to the 9.12 hotfix version ? I am running a 5040x1050 resolution that work OK and I have not had the flickering problem. I also have a 1000w PSU not sure whether this has a bearing on things.

I Followed the advice in this thread and ordered the adapter from monoprice.

Well my monitor will only stay on for a few seconds then flicker.....

Awesome 3 x 275 bux for the Monitors, 400 for the card and its still doesn't work guess ati really hasn't changed
