Running a 5850 and a lower end card.

Hi Guys,

I have a 5850 that runs my games no problem. I want to keep the 3 monitors currently hooked up in the eyefinity group.
Im looking at buying a 2nd card that can run 3 more monitors. it wont have the games running on it or anything just my web browsing and so forth. Can someone either point me to a guide that can explain howto do this

I have a 5850 running three monitors and a second card (a 4350) which is used for a further 2 monitors. So very similar to what you want to achieve.

All I did was to slot the 4350 into the machine, connect the monitors, and then setup the resolutions and the layout of the screens in the catalyst control centre.

I may be wrong, but i think i have read somethere that although you can do this, i belive that you can only have 1 eyefinity group on a system at any one time.

You should be able to have a Eyefinity group +3 extended monitors though.
