Re: PS3s dumping Linux support

yeah, removing a feature that the console has been advertised for ... wanna see what legal shitstorm this idea of sony is going to raise, as theres either total disbelieve from the linux userbase or total disinterest from people who don't. either way, some people are not happy at all.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII

Holy C**p, a thread about my console :p (that is after my 360 died and died and died ...)

Many nice titles, but best reasons in my opinion would be a bit different.

Metal Gear Sold 4, ofc you cant leave that peace of art out - its just awesome, better story telling then anything before and ...

Re: PS3's worldwide are comitting harakiri.

thank god i didn't earn any trophys in the time ... but boy was i pissed, got kicked out of psn right when updating all my ps3 stuff; had been installing the old 160gb hdd from my laptop to it as 60gb weren't even close to enough - bought alot of ps3 stuff in the last months. well, its working again ...

Re: LCD vs Plasma Vs DLP

two things come to mind: lcds have overall the better brightness - so if you're in a bright room then they're to be preferred; plasmas shine when it comes to their black levels or contrast - so try this if you use it in a dark room, especially home cinema rooms without windows. also consider viewing ...

Re: Le sigh.

i personally don't mind drm or steady internet-connection to play, as i have one. StingingVelvets argumentation has its points and i support any way to fight piracy. what i don't support is the way it's implemented, just think of all the problems the industry had with any copy protection so far ...

Re: The StarCraft II Beta Test Has Officially Begun

by now my feelings about this game are this:
sc2 is a game that looks like wc3, plays like sc1 and has features common to gaming and the rts-genre in special for like 6-7 years (that includes gameplay changes and the so-called "new" battle.net 2.0) - real bummer
guess i won't be getting this ...

Re: Mass Effect 2

800k+? thats a lot of dough ... only spend a few hours scanning, only when i needed resources for a new upgrade, so it only took me about 35hours. 50+ is really impressive, but i suppose it will only get a few hours more with new dlcs ... whenever they may come

yeah AVP2 is like ... awesome, i fondly remember the amazing mp matches we had back in the days ...

back to topic, i'm done with the alien campaign now and i think i'm able to recommend that one 100%. it is really fun if you figured out the elements that make alien so great: hiding in shadows ...

Re: Mass Effect 2

according to bioware boards you'd have to NOT upgrade any system of the normandy and NOT do any loyalty mission; that's when you're most likely going to end up pretty much dead ^^

and yeah, it was a bit of a letdown at the end, better then that ridiculous fight with saren in ME1 but still ...

hmm okay, i didn't read through all the texts, figured most of them wouldn't tell me something substantially new compared to part 1, then again, maybe i'll take a look some time later (i totally like this universe and the work of drew karpyshyn - so i also got the novels, both CEs, the comics so far ...

Re: Mass Effect 2

over 50h? how did you manage to do that? i scanned like almost all systems to depletion, did all sidequests + dlc-missions, had everyone loyal and still only got about 35 hours

i mean it is definitely a plus to the first game where it lasts only about 20+ hours until your done - so way ...
