Hello

Looks like my Analogue TH2GO has died.

Rebooted one day while fiddling with DVI cabling, now all I get is 1### options in display.

Nothing in the 2###, 3### range. This happened to BOTH Windows installations at the same time (XP, W7)

Desktop spans across 2 Monitors only ...

OK!! Long story!! read the b0ll0x in it or not. BUT 3840 on latest catalyst.

I know I have read posts with things like 'Strange I am on 10.whatever with no problems.. Well maybe it is the Card.... Maybe it is the l33t install of W7 you have. BUT I personally after much much frustration have ...

Never got 3840 x 1024 on any ATI driver above v9.8.

Some say they have but I have tried many different ATI driver versions / installation procedures.

Maybe your issue.

Try the Old v9.8 driver to see if this solves your issue.

Great stuff. I wasn't too excited about this revival, but hey - Hor+ multi-mon and a demo ? Now I'm interested. 8)

Mine doesn't have a local.cfg :( I see a reference to that file name when I open default.cfg though.

Want to try this on TH2GO

Well... Tried the 4th monitor method and 10.3 as posted above...

No joy for 3840 x 1024 on ANALOGUE TH2GO... :(

Gonna try 10.2 but don't hold much hope. ATI are just not going to support it I think.

EDIT: 10.2 does not suport 3840 x 1024.... Tried every which way and lost ...

Nope... No luck for me fresh W7 install 9.8 then 10.2 on top = 2400X600 :x

Basically what i did was first update my firmware on my Th2go to the newest (came out in December i think) and then i installed 10.2 over the 9.8 no uninstall and it works!! Thanks for the input guys!

Are you sure you are installing everything correctly? Im using Win7 and can select either 5040x1050 and 3840x1080 on my 4870X2 and now also my dual 4870X2's.. Updated monthly all the way since ive had my TH2Go and have had no resolution issues yet.

I had this same dilemma as OP few days ago. I want to upgrade but ATI doesnt support TH2Go resolutions and nvidia is taking their time to release new cards.

I hope the Nvidia stuff is good this next release. I would still be with ATI all they have to do is support a few resolutions.. It's ...

Most have said they cant get anything other than 3840x1024

And that's only with the v9.8 drivers. anything above that and your looking at an even lower rez that's looks s... :?

I have (well soon won't) a 4870x2 that's been awsome until now... Selling for Nvidia as they are far more ...

Well having the Analogue TH2GO on a 4870x2 I was interested in upgrading to widescreen.....

Reading this I may have to go with Nvidia, we all know that Nvidia was always better supported with TH2GO's..

Still can't run Catalyst driver above v9.8 and get 3840 x 1024...

This kinda sucks ...

I had 3840 on ATH2GO fine on Vista then Windows 7

Re-bricked the windows 7 and now can't get it to work on 3840 with 9.11 only 9.8

Go figure..

I believe 3840x1024 is the highest you'll get.

Would be nice to get that :) Yes that is the highest rez for Analogue.

Their latest software says that there is support for Windows 7.

Managed to get 3840x1280 on Cat v9.1 installed on Windows 7

Anyone else had joy with later drivers using ATI and Windows 7 with TH2GO ANALOGUE...

To get drivers below v9.9 WHQL had to be circumvented or the drivers just weren't there.

What a frikin' headache I got spending a DAY trying to get 3840x1280 on Windows 7 64bit.....

Still no joy!!! Looking at an ugly 2400x600 desktop...

Just about givin up but have to still plod on...

If it aint the ATI drivers only giving me the choice of ...

Aren't you worried about the spring wearing out?

Spring is detached.

Only used it as I didn't fancy making a hinge... :)

As for wearing out.. It don't get that much use tbh.. JUst BF2 and widescreen pr0n... :wink:

Would be good if it moved down in a sorta sliding fashion whereby you didn't have to see the bottom.

What's not so obvious with the pic is the stand is in an attic room and the wall behind tilts forward 45 degrees why it's angled ...
