I have tried getting silent hill 3 to run in widescreen but have met with half-results...

there is a file in the savedata folder in the silent hill 3 folder where I can change the resolution to what I want. Works fine.

Then in the game options I turn the control type to 2d type( 3d type ...

I have read that when using the widescreen patch in knights of the old republic the cut scenes dont fill out the whole screen....

Now i have noticed this also in a bunch of other games when you run them at a higher resolution that 800 x 600...

is there any way from preventing this and ...

So I have been reading the forums and noticed that there has been no update to the knights of the old republic solution.....

does this mean there basically is no solid resolution for this game?

I know Return of the king is now an old game...maybe somone has found a way to custom resolution it?

I know alot of people own tvs that can be used as PC monitors but sometimes they have overscan...which is when about 5 to 10 percent of the picture is cut off all around...

For a game like knights of the old republic this is a bad thing because its in-game menus are pretty much at the far ...

Quick tech question for ya guyd that own the new sammy DLP....I just bought a new Samsung HL-P4663W Widescreen DLP tv...great screen and all but when I hook up my PC via DVI-D to the TV there is slight underscan less than an inch around the PC display...basically a thin black border all around. do ...

How come there is overscan if 1280 by 720 is a resolution listed in the tv's manual?( I acquired it off their site)
