Changing the camera distance setting didn’t help?

I applied the RE7 fixes (you need to change hex values at 2 addresses, and it seems to work pretty well at 21:9). Some UI elements are off, but increasing the camera distance by one notch seems to make gameplay just fine. For 3440x1440 you need to look for "39 8E E3 3F" and change that to "8F E3 18 40" (should be just one occurance) And also change "00 00 80 41" to "00 00 AC 41" (one time, but there are multiple instances throughout so make sure the address is right. I switched it at the address Evil_Raven found in a post earlier, and it seems to do the trick. Screenshot below).

39 8E E3 3F (3840x1080) 32:9 = 39 8E 63 40
00 00 80 41 = 00 00 00 42
almost works, but not perfectly
with a modified camera

Hopefully someone can scale the HUD properly and upload the exe somewhere. It bothers me so much that Capcom won't support UWD.

This seems to just pull in on the 16:9 aspect ratio which the FoV changing just helps to mitigate a bit but it is evident everywhere else. In a full fix the max FoV would still be further back from the character than this fix has it.

you're right, but it's still the only solution to the black bars.

21:9 fov is pretty good, have you tried messing around in the .ini file which has the fov setting? Its at 40. You can find it in the game's install folder Good work boys, was real good waking up to a partial fix, even though the HUD is somewhat out of screen.

It's more of a band aid rather than any kind of fix.

when FovHackEnable=true is enabled, the game crashes if you set FOV value above 40

Did you try editing the same hex values as the RE2 FOV fix?
