Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy fix FOV and Cutscenes?

Post by vekio »

There is a ThirteenAG widescreen fix for this game and it's quite good but FOV is little annoying and cutscenes are streched and they are not centered. It would be great if these problems will be fix.

The game is free from many years so it is not a problem to download this game legally :rockout: .

I sent a ThirteenAG message on his site on Github in the FOV case.
Unfortunately, he wrote that he does not touch the FOV in this game so it looks like the only hope for improving the FOV can be someone from this forum.

Hex edit PsiOps.exe

Go to Offset 248C70 look for 00 00 80 BF and change it to 00 00 C0 BF

Thank you. On my exe offset was 248C60. I had to use crack because I have DVD version with Starforce protection so maybe the offset is a little different. But after change it works.

The good news is that ThirteenAG made a fix to his hack and now we can change the FOV in one of the text files. Exactly PsiOpsTheMindgateConspiracy.WidescreenFix. So there is no need to hex edit PsiOps.exe.
So the only problem is just incorrectly displaying the cutscenes.
