Since Sonic Forces has finally been released today, I'd like to request the aspect ratio hack to use "Vert+" widescreen behavior which in these cases would expand the vertical fov and/or hud if the aspect ratio is 16:9 <= (less than or equal to 16:9) and horizontal if the adjusted resolution is wider than 16:9.
I stated the codes on this post on where to find it in the memory last month:

I'd also would like to have the comparison screenshots for 21:9, the original 16:9 and 4:3 so that I can make sure it's correct in vert+ if a WS tool to it is being developed.

Re: Sonic Forces
Bumping since it's been a week without anything new.
Re: Sonic Forces
As of ver.1.04.090b8e5169:
"Sonic Forces.exe"+20B36B8, 4 bytes. This is the HUD width scale, set it to any value to change the width of the HUD.
"Sonic Forces.exe"+1DBDC5C, float. This is the aspect ratio, divide width by height to get the value for your resolution.
NOTE: You don't need to change the HUD width scale at all. Just changing the aspect ratio then changing the resolution of the game itself will make the HUD width scale change.
This isn't the vert+ widescreen behavior, but it does allow for wider aspect ratios at least.
