Destiny 2

Post by Bifurk8 »

I haven't had the chance to dig very deep today, but I am pleasantly surprised to see that the Destiny 2 beta seems to mostly work well triple-wide out of the box. 5760x1080 was detected as my fullscreen resolution by default. The main menu is properly centered and completely visible. Character select works, but has the player's character model shown mostly off screen. The cutscenes appear designed for ultra-wide and below, they don't quite fill the triple-wide resolution, but do display properly without getting cut off or zoomed in. The gameplay itself is good and feels hor+ with all of the HUD properly centered on the middle monitor , but I haven't tested thoroughly enough to be sure.

So, good first impressions anyways.

Failed to take Screenshots, but the main problem is that even with FoV 105 it's too small. Need moar!
And a few small glitches, like the ship is Huge (Vert- instead of Hor+)
We gonna send it to outa space!

Pretty impressive open beta thus far. The game allows for the UI to have borders of your choosing, and the FoV isn't too bad. Very good so far, except getting rather low FPS at 5760x1200 with two 780's, might need a different set of SLI bits or a proper flag from nVidia.
