Hi,
This is my first post on here so please be gentle!!...
I am looking for a solution to my issue and I hope someone can help... My current setup is a Gigabyte Geforce GTX1080 extreme feeding dual Dell U3415W monitors using DisplayPort. The monitors are daisy chained and work fine as a regular desktop under Windows 10 x64. My problem comes from the Nvidia drivers, I understand that to utilise both screens as a single desktop in games you should use the surround configuration. Unfortunately the Surround option is greyed out and will not play. I have used the DDU utility to remove all of the drivers from the rig and I have reinstalled the Nvidia drivers, but this has not resolved the problem.
My question is around the DisplayPort connectivity, is there a problem driving a daisy chained setup like this that prevents the Surround option from being used? Any tips or hints would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Andy

Re: Dual ultrawide surround issues on GTX1080
DP daisy-chaining aka MST (Multi Stream Transport) is supported in AMD Eyefinity, not Nvidia Surround. You need to use two outputs on the card to configure two monitors in Surround.

Oh. I didn't know that.
That is certainly annoying.
