Hi everyone,
I am an average gamer and have used the eyefinity setup for 2.5 yrs now.
My present Eyefinity setup has 3 x HP 22xi Monitor with R9 290
I am upgrading my Gaming PC and thinking of going with anyone of the following three options:
A. Ultrawide 34" 3440x1440 (21:9) for the middle and 2 Standard wide 27" 2560x1440 (16:9) for the side monitor
B. Ultrawide 34" 2560x1080 (21:9) for the middle and 2 Standard wide 27" 1920x1080 (16:9) for the side monitor
C. Ultrawide 29" 2560x1080 (21:9) for the middle and 2 Standard wide 23" 1920x1080 (16:9) for the side monitor
As I work in Doha, Qatar, I will mostly buy from http://www.amazon.com or http://www.ebay.com shipped to Qatar or http://www.ubuy.qa (This is basically amazon.com with shipping service to Qatar)
My budget is $1500 for 3 monitors. Can push it to $1800 or 2000 if required.
It would be very helpful if you guys can give your opinion on the following
Which brand/model monitor combination will work great together?
Which of the above screen setup (Option A, B or C) would be the best for gaming?
Is mixed resolution possible with Nvidia SLI?
What should be the GPU solution (sli or xfire) for each setup?
I have only used 60Hz monitors. Will 144Hz monitors make any difference? Is it worth the additional $$?
Should I go for FreeSync monitors?
Which is better for triple monitor setup 3 Curved panels or 3 Flat panels or Curved panel only for middle monitor?
The suggestions you guys give is really important to me as my entire CPU upgrade depends on the which monitor setup I go for.
Thank you.
Help me decide which Monitor config - Budget $1500 to $1800

Hi,
A or B
Bigger is better
If you want to go 1080p or 1440p...
Well... Your choice.
I would totally recommend Free/G-Sync and 144hz though.
You just need to be aware that 144fps 1440p would probably need 2 Titan at least for the newest games. The good thing. Even with 100fps thanks to G-Sync it will be okay
But I'm not really sure if nivida supports Surround 16:9 with a 21:9 center... Anyone else knows?
But hey, in a few Weeks were gonna hear word from AMD about the VEGA GPU, it's said to be as powerful as 2x R9-290 in crossfire. But well... I'm running that and I don't even manage 60fps in 5760x1080 in the newest games on Very High settings^^
So yeah, even there Two GPUs is recommended.
Greetings,
Haldi

Re: Help me decide which Monitor config - Budget $1500 to $1
Hi thanks for the reply.
I searched but couldn't find 1440p @ 144hz. Could you share a link?
I came to know that nvidia does not support mixed resolution. Have to take amd's route. Or should take 3 34" ultrawide monitors. I just feel that would be way too wide. Any thoughts on that?
That's a very good news. Should I wait for a few weeks?
And one last thing. Which 34" ultrawide monitor do you suggest?
Thanks
