I currently have an ultra wide monitor, and I was thinking about getting two more of them, putting them in portrait and then using Nivida Surround. This would let me game in the aspect ratio 27:21, but I don't even know if games would support it. Has anyone done this before, or have any comments/concerns?
My current monitor is the LG 25UM56-P and I'm using the GTX 980 Ti, if it matters.

Re: 3 21:9 Monitors in Portrait Mode
Hi. I'm on three PG348Q in Landscape Mode and on Quad Titan X.
My Temps on just staring at desktop alone @ 10320x1440 in surround and on idle is already at 41°C at minimums. The only time I recorded Temps via Aida64 is on FF XIV Heavens Ward with bezel corrected resolution, High Settings and for 30 minutes game play was 71°C at Maximum.
My GPU cooling: EK Waterblocks, 2 DDC Pumps running on Max Speed, 480mm Rads, push/pull fans.
I'm still new to Multi-Mon gaming and have been tinkering lately to get myself familiar.

I do not like 3x1P with 16:9 because the bezels are too much for me.
