MST Hub Review Opportunity

Post by skipclarke »

I've got an opportunity for a few people to test and review a 2nd gen MST Hub. If you're interested, please post here.

What is Gen2 MST HUB? is that DP1.3?

I have a EVGA 3 out MST hub, works nicely to keep the cable clutter down but sometimes i do need to hit resync when monitors get powered off for the night.
Using a long DP-DP from pc to desk, then 0.5m hdmi cables to the monitors from the 3x DP outputs with adaptors, although 1 of these is an active dual link adaptor, I have read in some places that the AMD R9-3xx series and above that active adaptors are no longer required.
I am running a Fury-X but not tried it without an active adaptor yet, why shake up a known working display solution right ;)

I'd be interested. I have 3 x Dell 2709w (1920x1200 with DP), 3 x Dell 3007wfp-HC's (using 3xDP to DL-DVI Adapters at 2560x1600), and a Dell u3011 (2560x1600 with DP)

I would also be interested in trying non-active adapters and see if it affect bandwidth, and stability over time.

EDIT: Also, I'd like to see if it's a viable alternative to using video cards with multiple ports, as these have been slim pickings over the last few years (as per my thread).
