Hey guys,
So I'm currently running a triple 27 inch setup on my R7950 - I have been for a long time now since the R7xxx cards came out. I'm now looking to upgrade to a GTX 970 but I'm unsure if I will need to buy any more adapters etc, since I'd rather not have to obviously.
On my R7950, my monitors are setup to these ports:
1x DVI
1x HDMI
1x Mini display port with active adapter
However on the EVGA 970 card I'm looking at getting, there is no mini DP, just regular DP.
So my question is, can I run 2x DVI 1x HDMI on the GTX 970 - without using displayport?
If not, do I need an ACTIVE adapter, or will a regular one work for regular displayport (not mini dp)?
Thanks!

Re: Switching from AMD - Ports question
The need for an active DP adapter was always an Eyefinity-only thing, and it's not even a requirement on newer Radeons.
As for Surround, any combination of the 970's outputs will do, no active adapter required: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technol ... quirements (GF 970, Single GPU, 2D, Landscape)
