Read Full Detailed Report - Tribes: Ascend

Tribes: Ascend is a free-to-play multiplayer-only first-person shooter part of the Tribes franchise. It is developed by Hi-Rez Studios. The game features a class-based loadout system. Each loadout specifies what type of armor the player has, along with what weapons and items they carry. Loadouts only supports three weapons at a time; two in-hand weapons and one melee object, along with either grenades or mines and a pack.

There are three possible sizes of armor to choose: light, medium and heavy. Players can select which loadout to use when either when first joining a game, respawning or at an inventory station. Loadouts may be acquired either through an upfront payment, or through playing the game and earning experience, which can be used to purchase classes, weapons and upgrades. Paid-for loadouts are available to the user instantly, while those who choose to unlock them through playing will have a much longer wait. Upgrades to armor and weapons can only be purchased by experience points.

That would do it, I was largely trying to clear it with them as to whether or not they would ban people for using such a fix, their answer is effectively that depends on the fix itself.

It looks like there hasn't been any progress on a fix for this from Hi Rez. I have started a thread on their forum about it and if we can get some traffic to it they might listen. Here's the link.

Read the detailed report itself, it will tell you how to force the res to 1680x1050, also, they have said they will fix Triple Monitor setups, but its low priority fix so it'll be some time before they get around to it.

@Any of our developers, I would appreciate it if someone could do a quick FoV hack *if it is quick that is* don't worry about the menus and HUD, I need to make special video I and would love to have tribes in the background.

I did this already, it's just a shame we have to go in and edit config files in order to play a game at the "correct" resolution.

EDIT: Also made a thread in the official forums.

Prior to the most recent patch the only thing that didn't work was the HUD, I've not had the change to test it since yesterdays update.

HaYDeN is the one that make the fix, but he doesn't play the game, in the post before yours I link to his fixer tool, just let him know on there that Tribes has been updated, and ask nicely if he can update the fix.

Im posting here because he does not seemt o be doing anything about it dispite my e-mails asking for the fix.
If hes the only one who can update it or speak to him to get it to be updated then i'll find an alternative means of sorting it somehow.

Don't e-mail him, post on the thread, he monitors that thread, he probably ignores his PMs because if he did a fix for every game people asked he would never have any free time. The forum thread is there partly to make his life easier, please use it.

It's been updated for a long time now, it just has not been pushed as a update yet.

In the meantime - please right click Tribes:Ascend in Flawless Widescreen and click "re-install" this will patch it to the latest version, set it to Automatically Detect version.

A full update will be pushed late today most likely.

Just curious, is there no hope of fixing the HUD for this game? I'd be happy to do what I can to support this fix. Just let me know!

I've played it for a bit at 5760x1080 with Flawless with the HUD disabled entirely and it plays perfectly, but, most classes are unplayable without the HUD, especially Infiltrator... kinda hard to stealth around on a timer without seeing the timer :-

I posted a bounty of $75 via Paypal or 10 BTC (Bitcoins) in the main thread... maybe someone will fix it and take me up on it :)

HUD was fixed in Flawless Widescreen from 7/15 to 7/24. Unfortunately today's patch (7/25) broke the HUD once again.
