You can increase the FOV in this game with the excellent Widescreen Fixer tool:

Ironically, the tool links to the detailed report where it says: "There is no known way to increase the pretty narrow FOV at this time"

Oh yeah, the DR is outdated alright. Someone should write a new one using HaYDeN/dopefish fixes... the grade would sink, though.
