Hi Everyone,

I'm using an Asus 7970 Direct CUII with 5 x 50in Panasonic plasmas.

I've connected a Unitek active displayport adapter.

The problem is that whichever TV is connected to the active displayport adapter, results in it being stretched wider resulting the
images not lining up.

I've attached pics of what's happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's hard to tell from your photo, but it does look like those are two different sized monitors.

Is that correct or are they both physically 50" with the one on the right stretching to fill the entire display while the one on the left is non-stretched?

The screens or not the same format so you will always have te problem that the internet window is bigger on the bigger screen then the smaller screen. Did you use bezel correction?

If they are the same size then maybe the resolution of the screens are not the same.

Hi and thank you for replying.

The tv's are all identical. The resolutions are the same also.

Usually, the TVs have a black border around them with the passive DP adapters
when running at 1080p. With the active, the border is gone, which is great, but I can't
run them all off the active DP adapters. I tried to run 3 of them off active and although
Windows would boot up no problem (login sound came through speakers) no signal would
reach the TVs.

As I'm planning on running 5 of them in portrait, I need to run them all at the same
resolution obviously.

I'll take better pics when I get home.

Thank you all again

Here's an updated photo.

So, just to confirm, these screens are identical. The resolutions are identical. The position of the monitors is lined up within a couple of
millimetres.

I've moved the active adapter to the middle plasma. As you can see, the black border on the outside monitor doesn't appear on the middle screen. It seems the active adapter zooms the screen.

Overscan? The TV has its own option for overscan, and I think there is a per monitor setting in the CCC also

I was thinking something along those lines as well, Gilly. I tried to find your monitor's manual online, but it doesn't look like Panasonic has made it available. Check out this link and see if you find any helpful adjustments. Hopefully you can override the default behavior when on displayport adapters so that all the monitors act the same.

You may also want to take a look in the Catalyst Control Center under the My Digital Flat Panels menu. There are options for Enable GPU Scaling under Properties, Underscan and Overscan under Scaling Options, and some HDTV video format options under HDTV Support that may be helpful.

"Also in the Picture Menu there are the Advanced Settings where you will find the 16:9 Overscan. It is important to ensure that the 16:9 Overscan function is set to Off and the Aspect Ratio is set to 16:9 for high quality HD sources, otherwise the display will scale high definition content which will reduce the resolution of the material you are watching."

Seems to be nestled in the Advanced settings.

Needs to be off on all the TV's and off for all displays in CCC.

I also believe that it is not a per TV setting, but a per TV, per input setting. As in, you use say HDMI1 on each TV. You must set overscan off with HDMI1 selected.
