Looking to start a "Why it's amazing to have multi-monitors" series of videos.

Post by suiken_2mieu »

So to raise awareness of my passion to others and possibly gain some more support from developers of games, I want to start a Youtube video segment that talking about everything multi-monitor gaming.
My brother and I have come up with some ideas for topics and some structure of each video. I was wondering what things others who don't have multi monitor rigs are missing out on, and what might be some interesting topics.

  1. So far I have the following:

  2. Impressiveness of 3+ Monitors

  3. Splitscreen Done the Right Way.

  4. How much it cost to setup a Surround Vision Rig.

  5. Why I started PC Gaming (Because 3 monitors are awesome).

  6. Other Application of using More monitors.

  7. Why a big ass TV pales in comparison to 3 monitors

  8. Why games need more support.

  9. Truth About Bezels.-- Aptly named "OMG Bars"

  10. Setting up Eyefinity -- For other solutions, I'd need someone else's capture footage.

  11. Games to test out your new rig with.

Give me some other stuff. I don't know how fast I'll start this up, or the quality of the shows, but I feel this needs to be done.

EDIT: Also, would you want WSGF written all over it? I did intend to start every video with "This Suiken_2mieu with Widescreen Gaming Forum and this is why you need more monitors." or something to that effect.

Good Idea!

Bout the ideas...
(1 should not be in the list but ahead of the list... right?)
2) You might convince some ppl to make a Video of their Setup running and then add a short compilation of different Setups :) Or even Just Foto compilation.
3) Thats gonna be a Huge topic! well.. no... not so many games support that? and you cant use more than 1 mouse -.-
8) Awesome would be if you somehow could get an Interview with an Developer
9) eh... what?

hope you have success :)
We gonna send it to outa space!

9) eh... what?

When you post a video or picture with multiple monitors, the first comment you get is, "Those lines would bother me."
But to be honest, the people who have the most issues with this are the people who haven't sat down in front of a setup.
So during that topic, I'm going to talk about how this is a non-issue for most people.
After all, in a 3x1L setup (most common), you are just extending the view of a normal setup and don't even really look at the sides.

Very true, I often see people say that in the comments of youtube videos :p

Actually, I feel, GPU's should support all configurations.
What's easier?
1. Going out and buying 3 matching monitors.
2. Keeping the monitor you already had, and getting two cheapies for the sides, no matter what the res?

So far, only SoftTH can do this, and it's not exactly the best solution (Only DX9, Not really user friendly, Compatibility issues, etc.)
