MW3 - 3 Displays - NVIDIA Surround

Post by sbambam »

Dear,
yer
I have a problem to run the MW3.. Let me explan the situation...
- GTX670 SLI with NVIDIA Surround activated and working for other games, BF3, NEED For Speed etc...
- 3 Samsugn Displays 27" A27550 (2 Displays are connected by HDMI and 1 Display by DVI/VGA)
- NVIDIA DRIVER: 302.59 for Windows 7

I have downloaded the last version of the WSF and extract this in a folder on my desktop. Then i run the WSF and configure to use de MW3 Single Player and use the
last plugin...So i open the MW3 SP and press * to enable the WSF. In the Advanced Video, i set the image quality to NATIVE and the resolution is set to 5670x1080.. When i press esc to back at the first menu the game close and show me the message: iw5sp.exe stopped working.

Please Help-Me!

hi sbambam,

First i found it strange that i cant find your Nvidia driver version on the site of nvidia for your videocard : here.
Maybe you made a mistake but if you really got that version installed i should just uninstall it (add/remove list and then driver sweeper) and install the 301.24 version to be sure.

If that also didn't work try to start the game without the widescreen fixer and see if the problem still exists. If so then its not a problem with the widescreen fixer. If it don't crashes then the problem might be the widescreen fixer. Try to reinstall the game and be sure that you have the newest versions of DirectX, Physx, C++, Net Framework so that you are sure that that is not the problem. If the problem still exists then it really looks like that the widescreen fixer is causing this problem. Make sure u select the right version in the settings of the widescreen fixer.

Hope i helped you!

(EDIT: just searched your driver version and it looks like its a devolpment version so its really recommended to take the 301.24 certified version of the nvidia site)

Firstly I would like to thank you for help.

- My NVIDIA driver is: 301.42
- I did all the tests, without the WSF does not appear the error message.
- I downloaded the Flawless and error message appears as soon as I change the settings in the game to NATIVE.

One point I wanted to highlight is that my MW3 is not STEAM, but the RELOADED, has a problem with that?

RELOADED is not supported, that is why it is not working, nice nice if people would note they are using a cracked version when trying to get assistance - makes it very easy to advise why :)

I'm having some problems with WidescreenFixer or something similar in MW3 also. I've used it successfully for ages-WSF, but just this week I switched to Radeon 7970's in Crossfire..I had just a single 7970 prior..and of course WidescreeFixer updates as well as MW3 too (Steam version multiplayer) so not sure where the problem is. In my case the game plays in 5760x1080 but its not useable...something is off...hard to describe..but its just like it was when MW3 first came out and I tried to play it without using the "Native" setting in the Advanced Graphics which was also not useable, but hard to describe, but once I selected Native it corrected all. And because of that memory I've been experimenting with Advanced Graphic settings in hopes of finding solution. So far not. One can see things but its awkward/ not exactly laggy and not exactly jerky but somehow off and difficult to use. Not really playable.

And when I play it on single screen its fine.

Also when I play Eyefinity 5760x1080 with Crossfire and no Widescreenfixer needed as in BF3 or L4D2 .. all works fine. So...I'm guessing its got something to do with the most recent version of Widescreenfixer??? Not positive of course, just guessing.

Edit..One more confusing thing...I can play MW3 just fine in 5760 x 1080 with WSF...if I disable Crossfire. Puzzling?

Edit..BTW I too am using Catalyst driver 12.3
