Was looking around tonight. Saw a few old threads and articles on the web about a few Curved Displays from 2008/2009. NEC did one, Alienware did one...also Ostendo.
I see nothing on the market today. Anyone know if they exist..by who? If they were out 3-4 years ago selling for 7K I'd think they'd be all over by now.

Ostendo, the manufacturer, has ceased production of them. So they can only be found used, and even then good luck. they're not very good displays as they are limited to 2880x900 which is super low.
Personally I'd rather buy a large curved glass, put something opaque behind it and hit it with some projectors and use nthusiasm to correct the image. This is most likely cheaper, higher resolution, and scalable as new projectors get released.
Jump to 58 seconds for something similar.
Thanks, very helpful.

Thanks, very helpful. Question though, whats nthusiasm?
I googled it and came back with nothing.
Overall how hard is that settup to do and get working? I'm not a supertech with systems, but I have built a few over the years. Am I dreaming with something like that with those projectors?
Thanks, very helpful.

Here's a thread of it working: http://www.wsgf.org/gallery/exposure-2011-nthusim
