Skylandes - Spyro's Adventure (surround resolutions)

Post by X3R Kefran »

I tried "Skylanders" on 3 * 1920*1080.

When the game is launched for the first time, the game looks to be launched in surround mode and nearly perfectly
- Menus are displayed in the desktop resolution (5808*1080 in my case)
- Videos are displayed in the central monitor (not stretched)
- In-game, the HUD is centered and in the correct resolution...
- .... but the game itself runs in very low resolution (3 * 640 * 360)
It seems that the game "wants" to support multi-monitor and that the only thing to do is to modify the resolution.

The issue is that there is no way to do this:
- the in-game options only display single monitor resolutions and any modification leads to losing multi-monitor. So basically, you have to chose between 1920*1080 or 3 * 640 * 360
- there is no config file in the installation directory nor somewhere in "my documents"
- Registry edition does not seem a solution as there is nothing related to resolution (only language, game version, etc.)
- I could find some save data in C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalSpyro but again nothing directly related to resolution
- In the save folder, I found a file called "global.dat". it seems that the resolution is stored there (deleting the file resets the resolution). I tried to open it with an hex editor but it seems encrypted.

Has anyone managed to make the game run correctly in surround resolutions ?

No solution yet? Just

No solution yet? Just recently purchased this also (dirt cheap with Giants on its way!).

Got really excited when it seemed at first it would support multi-monitor out of the box!
But in game.. 3x 640x360 real bummer, it seems very promising.

And, indeed, if you try to set monitor native resolution (1600x1200 in my case) it falls back to a single monitor.
