HD Triple Stand - Question about monitor support

I like the look of these monitor stands but I'm wondering why the WSGF edition supports up to 27" monitors but the HD Triple doesn't.

I don't need all the extras that the WSGF stand comes with, I simply want support for up to 3 x 27" monitors.

Also, can the monitors on these stands be rotated for portrait mode? I find portrait mode to be very useful.
