Surround settings not saving on reboot.

Post by slip-stream »

I manage to set up everything perfect in 3D surround. However, upon restart I have 3 blank monitors, outer two are on but blank with 2 mouse cursers, 1 in each monitor. WTF? As far as I'm aware I am applying the settings. Is there a conflict with windows perhaps?

I have to take all the leads out from my 590 and put them back in 1 at a time an then go through the whole process each time.

Any help greatly appreciated.

On closer inspection I can see that windows is only recognising 2 monitors even though nvidia control panel see's 3 and my res is set at 5760 / 1080. This must be where the problem lies. Is this a GTX 590 issue that anyone is aware of?

Could you please check this image and report back?

This is my windows display control panel with the default surround resolution of 5760 / 1080. You may notice that only 2 monitors are apparent, 1 and 2.

Could you please check your setup and report back if any different, or the same? Many thanks.

I have a reboot problem whereby my surround settings are not saved. I assumed this was the problem, but I'm not sure now having just seen a surround rig on youtube with the same windows res settings.

Many thanks Delphium. I guessed it would be. I don't know what I've done but now it reboots just fine, the only thing I've done different is not setup any custome resolution. I am sooo happy now.

i had similar issues and they too are working now. i wonder if it was a driver update or something.

i wish they would just fix the switching from a single res to three seperate ones issue. i swear that thing just random selects locations every time i switch. at this point i just don't switch and am getting used ot not having use of fullscreen buttons and such anymore.
