Ok, I have an XFX 6950 2gb and have been trying to get eyefinity to work. I have a Mini DP to DVI adapter. here is the configuration.
DVI - Monitor 1
HDMI - Monitor 2
DP to DVI - Monitor 3
The card see all the monitors. It just won't let me choose 3x1. Don't know if i have to get a Active adapter or a DP to vga. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you require an Active Adapter. Unless you ahve a display that has a Displayport, in which case you just need a simple mini-DP to DP adapter/cable
