Renegade Ops - Nvidia Surround - Fix - 5760x1080

Post by valcan_s »

Hi Guys,

Well I got this game recently and basically fell in love with it on the weekend. My primary system is Nvidia and I play in the 3x 42" 3D LEDs. Like some have mentioned you can not play Renegade Ops in 5760x1080. By default my system was locked and I had to hard boot. Verfied it does not work.

The only way to play Renegade Ops for my self was to disable the two screens and roll with one in 1920x1080 then switch it to a shitty 4000ish rez.

*** The Fix : Well I also have a Eyefinity rig and I did try the game out and it worked 100% in 5760x1080, this was odd as I could not understand why the Nvidia setup was jacked. Any ways here is what I did. All you have to do is get a Eyefinity Settings file and copy it to your Nvidia rig save file location. Easier said than done, we all don't have two mega rigs.

Here is the file for 5760x1080 it will work on any nvidia setup.

* Note what ever you do, do not cahgne the resolution in the games menu , everything else is ok to change *

Da file : http://renewsoft.com/RenegadeOps/Settings.rar

Just un rar and put this file in this directory --> DocumentsSEGARenegade OpsSaves (over write the one you have)

That's it, for Nvidia users enjoy 5760x1080 its amazing m/

Thanks for this solution valcan_s ! Can you please share how you did it ? So others can create the file supporting different resolutions, like 5040x1050.

Hey, been real busy with work hence the delay. Basically you have to set the resolution you want on a ATI setup in Eyefinity.

Then you simply copy the Settings file to C:Users[user name]DocumentsSEGARenegade OpsSaves

I am not sure if you could use a file diff prog and then a Hex editor to do the change manually with out a Eyefinity system.

I'd be more than happy to make a bunch of different configs in the 5000 range if you guys want(and post them).

Update : 100% solution for

Post by valcan_s »

Update : 100% solution for any setup:

1. Go to the settings file location --> C:Users[user name]DocumentsSEGARenegade OpsSaves

1.b Back up your Settings file

2. Open the Settings file in HexEdit

3. Find row 8d20 for the width and row 8930 for the height

4. reference my pic --> The fix

5. Use a Hex converter like http://www.mathsisfun.com/binary-decimal-hexadecimal-converter.html enter your width 5760 = 1680 now flip the bits so = 80 16 if you get a number like 567 it would = 67 05

6. enter that value right behind 8th column filling column 9 an 10

7. do the same for the height on row 8930 but you enter you hex value flipped on the 3rd column filling column 3 and 4, again look at my pic The fix

8. Save As and over write the file

9. Fire up the game and enjoy multi screen pimpness m/

Pic with details The fix

Awesome stuff but this issue

Awesome stuff :onethumb but this issue is still unacceptable. Fully working multi-mon support shouldn't be brand-centric.
