Newb to Dual-Screening?

I recently had dual monitors set up so that I could be playing a game in full screen on the left monitor, but be able to use skype/check email/look up walkthroughs etc on the right monitor.

But whenever I DO play a game in full-screen, the mouse gets 'trapped' on the one monitor, (the one playing the game) and I can't move it across. Is there any solution? All the internet says is play it in "windowed"; but that's exactly what I want to get away from.

I set up hotkeys in UltraMon for "moving the mouse to the next monitor" locking/unlocking it to "primary monitor" "active window" etc, but they do absolutely nothing.

Help?
