OK, this might actually be a bit of a weird question, but what I'm actually after is this:
First system hooked up to 3 screens in Surround, second system hooked up to centre monitor of the three, ignoring the other two monitors. I want to be able to route USB keyboard and mouse, and stereo audio to/from both systems, selectable by the KVM.
I know this is doable if I just hook up the second system to the second DVI port on the centre monitor, but it's a pain to navigate the OSD to switch inputs, and lets face it, it's a bit... inelegant. Not to mention the requirement of two keyboards/mice...
Basically, I was wondering if anyone had had any experience of a DVI KVM with Surround, and whether it interferes?
I might give it a shot anyway, in which case I'll report back.
Anyone tried running Surround through a KVM switch?

Re: Anyone tried running Surround through a KVM switch?
I found one which might work, so I'm gonna give it a shot.
Interestingly, Surround probably isn't going to be the issue for a KVM that memorises the EDID - the bigger concern is actually going to be having my G15 LCD work. I found a KVM that will allow that (I phoned the company to ask about it) so we will see what happens when it arrives tomorrow.
