do noise cancelling mics for gaming actually exist?

Post by tepescovir »

Lo all.
I have spent ages trying to find a microphone i can actually use for teamspeak, vent etc that actually work when using decent speakers while gaming.
All the ones i can find seem to be part of a full size headset so are no use if you are using speakers and just want to use the mic. ie creative's dual mic headsets with silencer tech.
I have even bought a throat mic, but my voice is already very deep and it makes it too deep for teamspeak or voicecomms and of course there are no treble/tone adjustments anymore in windows to sort it.

I dont mind spending the money but cant seem to find any proper wearable noise cancelling mics out there that work. ANy advice on where to get one would be appriciated.

They are not marketed as gaming but it definitely will work.

but the problem is finding one. all the decent ones are dual mic which the creative sound cards can use with silencer, but all the dual mics seem to be on full size headsets so no use if you are using speakers.

I have gone through dozens of "noise cancelling" headsets and mics over the years and they all pick up the game sounds from the speakers. not as bad as non noise cancelling, but very little difference and still not usable unless you keep the volume low
