I'm wondering if it's possible to run the side monitors at a lower resolution than the central monitor in Eyefinity. Something like 1/2 or even 1/4 native resolution. I was thinking since most of the time the sides are just for peripheral vision, you could eliminate a lot of the performance hit of Eyefinity if you wanted by running lower resolution.
I'm guessing it's not possible just because of the way Eyefinity works by setting up the 3 screens as 1 large, high resolution screen, but figured I'd ask anyway... Unless there's somehow a way you could enable pixel doubling, or quadrupling on the side monitors.
Is it possible to run side monitors at a lower resolution?

Not possible. Have to be same resolution across all monitors.
What you want, I wish that was possible.

you could do this with SoftTH, but i think it just deals with the transport resolution and only there to save bandwidth. You still have to render the full res. Kinda dumb I know.
