Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum as far as registration goes, but I've been on here reading posts for years.

Sorry that my first post is a question, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out!

I have my PC in a closet (for sound purposes). I previously ran a 25ft HDMI cable from the PC to my monitor. I recently switched out the single 27" Dell 2707 for 3 Asus 27" monitors for surround gaming. The problem is that I am now running slightly different length cables for this. I have 2 25ft cables, and 1 33ft cable. Will this be a problem for them to be in sync? I'd hate to be getting headaches later due to slightly different response times.

Thanks for your input,
Ransom

To be honest, I doubt 8ft makes a great deal of difference.

As the monitors are the same, you could set the three monitors to clone, and run an on-screen stopwatch on them to test whether one is behind, the others. Having said that, not sure it will really show you anything.

I went ahead and got 2 that are 33ft and still have 1 that is 25ft. I can't tell a different, but I set the side monitors with the 33ft cables just in case it makes a difference. That way my main monitor will be the one ahead. I couldn't pass up the deal, since I got hooked up with good Manhattan cables for $19.99 each (vs $45 each).

Thanks for the input. Now I'm working on figuring out how to get bezel adjustments for my games (ie: NFS: Shift). I hate having things jump from one screen to the other, it gives me a headache after a while. :)
