HD6870 Eyeinfinity Setup
Hi guys,
I'm new to eyeinfinity and also new to this forum. I wanted to ask for help. I did configure the eyeinfinity setup - everything is fine for anything except gaming that I can't play Left for Dead 2, for example, I get duplicated views on each monitor. Yes, I have triple monitors.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Danny

Re: HD6870 Eyeinfinity Setup
First thing to do is put them into a group and arange them correctly in CCC.
Next select the triple monitor resolution ingame. In left4dead2 it would be under 16:9.

:welcome
HD 6870?
They are not to be released until Friday and everything is under NDA.
Your issue is probably that you haven't created an Eyefinity group yet. Here's how to setup a HD 5000 series Eyefinity:

Very suprised, since the NDA is global and doesn't expire before Friday. :)
Could you give us some feedback on the card, benches or something? :D

Yeah I will try but can't promise, because I have alot of things on my plate lately :(
I'm sure someone will bench it for sure. But I can give you the link...
I can tell you it does fly well! I personally think HD6990 because I tried to use heavy setting on picture quality for playing Left for dead 2, I noticed it's a bit lag or it' just me getting used to eyefinity because I may get motion sickness lol due to that quality.

Pics of the card or it didn't happen! Getting a 6870 would be a step down from a 5870 anyways. Gives me more time to save up for a 6970 (or 6990 if they ever get dual cards to work right).

Re: HD6870 Eyeinfinity Setup
Future setup should you feel the need for more than 3... 4 should be easy.... Beyond you'll need DP hubs (not available yet)
Eyefinity with hubs... the 6 series...
With 2 MST HUBs (utilizing DP ver 1.2 bandwidth) or daisy chaining (rare on monitors) .... you can drive up to 10 (1920x1200) displays (more if you split the DL-DVI)...
Up to 4 from each mini-DP... and 2 from the "legacy" DL-DVI

Re: HD6870 Eyeinfinity Setup
I think I read somewhere that the hub would only require passive adapters off of it if you didn't have DP native monitors.

+1 I also recall reading somewhere that the hubs would have the clocks inside thus being able to to passive adaptors.
