Bezel compensation :D

Post by DemonZone56 »

Hi, I currently have an xfx hd 5850 graphics card and I want to run 3 monitors on it with eyefinity. I currently have an asus 23 inch monitor but I want to get 2 of these hp 23 inch http://www.shopping.hp.com/store/product/product_detail/WJ677AA%2523ABA would these work if I want to run bezel compensation? It says the pixels must be within 5% of each other but I don't know if this will work with my current monitor. Thanks

current asus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236059&cm_re=asus_23_inch-_-24-236-059-_-Product

maybe, maybe not. It depends on what the EDID says they are.

EDID is the information about the monitor that is stored on the monitor. The issue is that the boxes may say that the panels are 23" but the EDID may say 23.1" or 22.7" etc. etc. and eyefinity reads these and will make judgment one way or another of whether it wants to give you bezel compensation.
