noob question regarding 3 screens

Post by FengZ »

Hello,

First just wanna say that this forum has been a great help for all my widescreen gaming.

I think this might be a noob question but i just can't seem to find an answer after browsing around.

I'm currently running a triple GTX 480 SLI setup and out-putting into a single 30" Apple Cinema display (2560x1200). Lately, i've been thinking about replacing this 30" with 3 23" screens. So the question is, do i still need special hardware to run games across 3 screens (such as the TH2Go). I have 6 DVI ports at the back of the box :P Or do i just connect the 3 screens into the 3 cards, and Windows 7 will automatically give me a wide-screen res to select?

thanks for the help

All you need is 3 identical monitors with DVI connections.

Go for it I say.

Every time I watch a youtube video of someone with 3 30 inchers I pitch a tent in my pants. I feel lucky to even have my 3 23's

I've used a Dell 3007 and Dell 30" side by side. The Dell is much more soupier.

I'm very happy with my 2 3007's but I need one more. Saving Saving Saving.

CURRENT - I Need that last one.

Not at all. If I had that setup I'd be showing everyone how awesome it is.
