So every time I power off my computer the red light on the triplehead2go digital flickers red and makes a high pitched whine. My motherboard is not supposed to be providing power after the computer is off, in fact it doesn't not have the option to and does not support that feature. A related issue was my G15 keyboard lights would flicker after the computer was off.
Self troubleshooting steps:
-Replaced motherboard
-Replaced G15 keyboard
-Upgraded TH2G with latest firmware
-Latest Matrox drivers
-Latest mobo drivers
-Latest keyboard firmware/drivers
-Checked mobo for "power after off thru usb" option(no option) and contacted mobo manufacturer to confirm power should not be sent after shutdown.
Any ideas?
I don't want to just say it's a bad TH2GD and replace it and have the same issue, like I did with the keyboard and motherboard.
I'm in the computer field, so any technical advice would be understood. After working on computers all day and coming home to this I get rather frustrated, especially after dumping over $3.5k on the setup.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues and knows a fix before I start calling Matrox.
Thanks
Bewst

Re: After shutting down TH2GD red light flicker/high pitch noise
Since the TH2Go gets power from the USB connection (the LED won't light without it, and the unit won't work) AND since your G15 was also flickering I would think it is a USB issue. Either a bad connection somewhere or maybe bad cable. Every now and then I have to unplug and re-seat the USB cable (both ends) on my TH2G in order to get the unit to work. Until I do, the LED stays dark. I can push firmly IN on the cables and it doesn't matter. Only pulling them completely out, and then back in, is what works. Perhaps re-seating your cables might help.
