possible triple sli with triple monitor? 1x GPU per monitor?

Post by thenjwaslike »

i was wondering if its possible to do triple sli with triple monitors, configured each monitor per video card?? dvi cable connected to dvi port, i know with dual sli, dvi port 1 & 2 on the 1st card, and dvi port 1 on 2nd card populated for 3dvs, any thoughts? thanks for everyones time for reading this, its been a while since i been back on the forums, i still have my 5970 on the backend as auxilary card on this new sr-2 motherboard ive got going. cheers!!

edit: yeah 5970 auxilary card if youre wondering, im going with nvidia as primary card for now.. why not both? lol

I believe there was a post in the nvidia beta driver section that shows the software actually recommends that you use each card for each monitor when running a triple sli and triple monitor, so yes

I have the Nvidia Betas installed and with 3 x GTX 280s in Tri Sli I get 1 card per screen and great performance

I have only got 3 x 4:3 19" Screens though so you may want to wait and see what the release drivers can do as according to the Beta release notes the 200 series in Tri Sli is not supported and I suspect that means Tri Sli

And yes they all connect DVI to the first port on each card :D
