Sniper: Ghost Warrior Demo

It appears to be hor+ though the FOV feels a bit narrow when playing.

The AI is rather disappointing. You have a detection meter but they can often see you even though

-have ghillie suit on
-prone
-totally still
-in deep grass/foliage cover

Oh well

Thanks for the shots, game's Hor+ indeed. Anyone can give multi-mon a whirl ? (d/l is sluggish as hell here...)

I'm so glad (amazed) they released a demo... so I won't have to buy it blind. 30 bucks seems a tad high for yet another low-budget, simplistic, overdirigist FPS, but it's still better than a Vert- Rogue Warrior sold twice that price, I suppose.

Cant get it running at 5040x1050 (tried to edit the settings file but no go), only at 3840x1024. :?

Even at that res the FOV seems too narrow.

video.scr has all the settings but nothing for FOV.

Did you try lowering the AA setting (if any) ? Some games refuse to run at 5040 w/ 4x AA, but work ok with 2x or none...
Download resumed: 1.2 GB to go @65 kb/s

If you can wait till tomorrow I might give it a whirl on my eyefinity.

I can confirm that 5040 is unavailable on TH2G. Probably because of the way the engine handles refresh rates, because even editing Resolution and/or MaxRefresh in Video.scr (found in Sniper Ghost WarriorGameoutSettings) doesn't help.
Also the FOV is indeed pretty narrow. And 16:9 anamorphic cut-scenes become Vert- in multi-mon :(

Nice to see a Chrome engine game that's natively Hor+, and a sniping game with so many chickens and parrots to snuff, but it's still pretty bad thanks to broken/arbitrary infiltration mechanisms. I'll pass for now...

Demo is finally on download for me. I'll test it for eyefinity users once the download is done. (5760x1080 plus bezel compesation)

I'll report back with findings in a bit.

Edit: Game appears to be friendly with eyefinity... HUD sucks though. Don't ask me about the gameplay, as I only played about 30 seconds of it and was already fed up with the HUD.

Anyone find a way to change the FOV?

Try a DP->VGA adapter.

I got the full game. FOV is still too narrow and no obvious way to edit it.

The game is not vert- but it feels very "flat". Makes it almost impossible to play.
